(Little Lover’s So Polite-Silversun Pickups) another good one from the Jennifer’s Body soundtrack.

(Death-White Lies) finally got around to downloading and watching Jennifer’s Body the other night. it was actually pretty ok, Megan Fox generally annoys the crap out of me, but she seemed pretty fitting for this role. the most note-worthy thing about the movie, though, was the soundtrack. with the exception of a couple tracks it’s actually pretty decent. I’ll be posting a few more songs from it on here. also, Adam Brody needs to be in more films, cause he’s pretty damn funny and muoy adorbz.

(Tonight is What it Means to be Young-Fire Inc.) I don’t if anyone else out there has ever seen the movie Streets of Fire, but we had it on tape when I was a kid and I freakin loooved it. I watched it all the time and am currently on the hunt for it on VHS (or DVD if i have to) it’s so hilarious and cheesy, and it’s also got Diane Lane as the babe, Willem Dafoe as the main protagonist and Lee Ving, otherwise known as the singer for the staple punk band Fear, as the Willem’s right-hand thug. sooo 80s, and sooo good.

(Rock of Ages-Def Leppard) because I can. shut up and enjoy.

(Where Is My Mind cover-Nada Surf) so I friggin’ love cover songs. I collect them and can’t seem to get enough, even some of the bad ones. I’ve got quite a good collection so far, and I’m thinking of making a mixtape to put up here for all my peeps to enjoy. keep in mind, it’d have to be a best-of-the-best kind of situation cause like I said, i’ve got a lot of em and there’s no way I’d be able to put up a list of even half of them. so yeah, keep an eye out for that.

(No Sound But the Wind-Editors) love this song. so simplistic, and his voice is effing wonderful.

(Thunderclap-Eskimo Joe) this is a great song, start to finish.

(Wish You Were Here cover-Sparklehorse) I can tend to be a bit of a verbose person, but for this post I really don’t have many words. this is sort of late news, but earlier this month Mark Linkous, more commonly known as the man behind the band Sparklehorse, killed himself. I liked this guy and the music he made quite a lot, and now he’s added to the ever-expanding list of brilliantly troubled young musicians that could find no other way to escape this world than through suicide. thank you for all you gave us, and you will be greatly missed.

ps, this is one of the all-time best covers I have ever heard.
